Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, initiating diagnostic testing, and designing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating a variety of acute, episodic, or chronic medical conditions in conjunction with collaborating physicians or autonomously (depending on credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless and comprehensive care
• Maintaining meticulous and accurate electronic medical records (EMR)

Prerequisites for Your Future

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license within the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the willingness to obtain these within 90 days)
