Your Responsibilities - Executing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
- Identifying and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in cooperation with physicians or autonomously (depending on credentialing)
- Instructing patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and treatments in line with your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management initiatives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Georgia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or attain within 90 days)
