Your Responsibilities Will Include - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with supervising physicians or independently (depending on credentialing)
- Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapy options within your scope of practice
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and continuous care
- Maintaining accurate and meticulous records in electronic medical systems (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a related specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
