Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join our purchasing team. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, products, and services to support operational needs while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, components, and services in alignment with company requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production/planning teams
• Issue purchase orders and track order status to ensure on-time delivery
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery or discrepancies
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SyteLine ERP system
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to communicate with suppliers using the phone, not just email
• Monitor supplier lead-time and price changes and update the lead-time change in Syteline.
• Forward price change notifications from suppliers to the Purchase Manager.
• Ability to escalate potential delivery problems to the Purchasing Manager and appropriate Customer Service representatives.
