Sevita is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Direct Support Professional Float to provide person-centered support across multiple community-based and residential programs within our Nonprofit & Social Services organization. As a Float DSP, you will travel between assigned locations to fill staffing needs, offering consistent, high-quality care to individuals of varying ages and abilities, including those with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, behavioral health needs, and complex medical conditions. In this versatile role, you will assist individuals with activities of daily living such as personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation, while promoting maximum independence, dignity, and choice. You will support community integration by accompanying individuals to appointments, work or day programs, social and recreational activities, and other community outings, advocating for their preferences and safety. You will help implement person-centered support plans and behavior support strategies, collect and document data, and monitor changes in condition or behavior, promptly reporting concerns to supervisors and clinical team members. The Float position requires strong communication, flexibility, and problem-solving skills as you quickly learn routines and expectations in different homes and programs, effectively collaborate with teammates, and build trusting relationships with individuals and their families. You will follow all health, safety, and infection-control protocols, assist with medication reminders or administration per program policy and state regulations, and accurately complete electronic and written documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and shift summaries.
