Requirements Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Planning, Marketing, Public Administration, Political Science or related field. Requires at least two (2) years’ experience working with the business community, economic development professionals and developers (local, state or federal level), businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to advance job growth and business development. One (1) year experience required if have successfully completed the Heartland Economic Development Program by the International Economic Development Council. Successful completion of the Heartland Economic Development Program by the International Economic Development Council required within 18 months of employment.
