Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of family law matters from initial consultation through resolution, including negotiations and court proceedings.
• Provide expert legal advice on issues such as child custody, visitation rights, alimony, and property division.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations to advocate for their best interests.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized legal strategies that align with their goals and circumstances.
• Maintain detailed case records, ensure compliance with procedural requirements, and manage deadlines efficiently.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in family law practice, including litigation, negotiation, and legal drafting.
• Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
• Excellent writing skills for preparing clear legal documents and correspondence.
• Familiarity with related practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, environmental law, patent law or other specialized fields is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex cases involving multiple legal disciplines with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
