GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for swimmers and sunbathers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Meet and greet guests as they enter the pool area. Check identification.
• Monitor usage of facilities. Enforce rules and regulations.
• Log, record, and collect money.
• Balance day’s receipts on admissions and concessions at the end of shift.
• Responsible for inventory of food concessions, pool passes, paper goods, and drink products when/if working in Snack Bar.
• Answers phone, takes messages, and handles situations while on the phone.
• Assist residents/guests with questions, comments, requests, etc.
• Responsible for pool area and cabana cleanliness.
• Clean and dust locker rooms daily.
• Check the locker rooms hourly to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Tests, logs, and notifies Facilities Pool Technician if adjustments need to be made pool.
• Use protective equipment when cleaning and handling hazardous materials.
• Report all maintenance problems to Facilities Pool Technician or the Recreation and Events Manager.
• Clean pool and deck.
• Notify the Safety Manager & Recreation & Events Manager of all accidents and/or near-misses that occur in the pool and locker room area.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED
• Customer Service Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale software.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
• Pool or Lifeguard Experience a plus
• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Combination of prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
