Job Title: Psychiatrist   
Location: Lucasville OH 45699
Duration: 6 Months to Long term
Hours/Week: 20 Hours/Week
Shift: 07:00AM -05:00PM (M-F)

Professional Summary:
Searching for a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to provide on-site services on a part-time basis (16-20 hours/week) to the male incarcerated population. Schedule is flexible based on needs of facility, but core hours are typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Selected psychiatrist will meet with 12-16 patients per 8-hour shift. Caseload is 75-100 patients.

Job description: 

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Managing medication
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
• Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
• Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
