SOUTHERN HEALTH PARTNERS INC is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Supervisor – Correctional Healthcare to lead and support clinical operations within a secure correctional facility setting. As the RN Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of high‑quality nursing care to an incarcerated population, ensuring that all medical, dental, and psychiatric services meet professional standards of practice and comply with state and facility regulations. You will supervise and mentor a team of nurses and other clinical staff, provide clinical guidance on complex patient cases, and coordinate care plans for patients with acute, chronic, and behavioral health needs. In this role, you will manage daily clinical workflows, including sick call, chronic care clinics, medication administration, intake screenings, and emergency response. You will participate in and often lead clinical rounds, review and approve nursing assessments and documentation, and collaborate closely with on‑site and off‑site physicians, dentists, mental health providers, and facility administration. A key responsibility will be maintaining accurate and timely medical records, ensuring proper documentation in accordance with policy, regulatory, and legal standards. You will play a critical role in staff development by orienting new team members, providing ongoing training and performance feedback, and supporting professional growth in a challenging but rewarding environment. You will monitor staffing levels, assist with scheduling, and help ensure appropriate skill mix and coverage for all shifts. In collaboration with leadership, you will support quality improvement initiatives, participate in audits and chart reviews, and help implement evidence‑based practices to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. Because this position is located within a correctional facility, you will work closely with custody staff to maintain a safe clinical environment, follow all security procedures, and respond effectively to emergencies, including medical codes and crisis situations. You will advocate for patient rights while balancing security requirements and maintaining professional boundaries. Strong communication, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm and organized under pressure are essential.
