Job Description

A leading mechanical contractor in the Baltimore/DC area is looking to add a Safety Supervisor to their team. Based out of the Wheaton, MD area, this person will be responsible for pushing forward the safety program at a job-site level, to ensure a strong safety culture across all active projects in the region. The Role:

• Maintain daily on‑site presence throughout to ensure consistent safety oversight
• Participate in all required safety meetings and discussions
• Join planning sessions with site leadership to stay informed about upcoming work, key activities, and potential risk areas
• Support the preparation of permits and safety documentation as needed, and lead safety conversations such as toolbox talks, reviews, and incident discussions
• Conduct daily inspections, provide corrective recommendations, deliver refresher training, and document/follow up on any safety concerns

The Candidate:

• 1–5 years of construction safety experience, degree preferred by not required
• Ability to support and oversee core safety activities, including fall protection, hot work, equipment operation (scissor lift, forklift, skid steer), rigging, confined space entry, and lockout/tagout
• Competence in completing safety documentation and maintaining required certifications, including an OSHA 30‑hour card (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or willingness to complete training before the start date.
