The Seasonal Store Associate is responsible for supporting daily store operations during peak summer business periods by providing excellent customer service and assisting in a variety of departments based on store needs. Duties may include cashiering, customer service, bagging groceries, stocking shelves, facing merchandise, unloading freight, price changes, cleaning and sanitation, cart retrieval, assisting customers to vehicles, produce support, deli or bakery support, meat department packaging or stocking assistance, convenience store support, fuel station assistance where applicable, floral or seasonal merchandise support, and general store maintenance tasks.

Seasonal Store Associates may work in multiple areas throughout the store and are expected to help maintain product availability, store appearance, safety standards, and efficient operations while delivering a positive shopping experience during periods of increased customer traffic. This is a seasonal position intended to support our busy summer season, generally May through September. Hours, schedules, and position needs may vary based on business demand. Seasonal employment does not guarantee continued employment beyond the seasonal period; however, qualified employees may be considered for future opportunities with Lynn’s Inc. & Affiliates.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to provide friendly, professional, and helpful customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Must be dependable and maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to follow directions, company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.
  • Must be willing to work in multiple departments and perform a variety of assigned tasks based on business needs.
  • Must be able to work in varying environments including refrigerated coolers, freezers, outdoor areas, or warm kitchen areas depending on assignment.
  • Must be able to safely operate equipment authorized for the position after training.
  • Must be able to handle cash, operate a register, or use store technology when assigned.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on seasonal business demand.
  • Must maintain a neat appearance and comply with company dress code standards.
  • Must work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers as part of the team at Lynn’s Inc. & Affiliates.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Some departments and job duties require employees to be at least 18 years of age or older per state laws.
