Steel Process Operator - Dekalb, IL

We are seeking a Steel Process Operator to efficiently process work orders within our Fabrication department. This role requires effective collaboration with crew members to ensure high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Process sheet metal using various fabrication machines.
• Complete work orders while adhering to necessary quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the fabrication team.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma.
• 0-3 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Intermediate skills in shop math.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic data entry.
• Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in the steel industry.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing plant with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with a high-traffic, heavy machinery setting. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday, with possible overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
