Position: Head Varsity Football Coach Location: North Newton High School Athletic Director: Sam Zachery Contact: 219-285-2252 ext. 6013 | szachery@nn.k12.in.us North Newton School Corporation is seeking a Head Varsity Football Coach for North Newton High School. The successful candidate will be a positive role model who is committed to building a competitive football program while supporting the educational and athletic goals of the school. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to guide student‑athletes and coaching staff in a successful and character‑driven program. Anticipated teaching openings may be available within the school corporation. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to serve as an effective teacher and positive role model for student‑athletes Coaching philosophy that supports the educational and athletic mission of North Newton High School Previous coaching experience at the high school level preferred Knowledge and ability to develop competitive offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes Ability to build, mentor, and lead a coaching staff IHSAA required coaching classes and CPR Certified Duties and Responsibilities Organize, schedule, and supervise all practice sessions Communicate effectively with parents and athletes regarding team policies, schedules, and program goals Maintain membership in the Indiana Football Coaches Association Conduct an annual inventory of equipment and recommend purchases to the Athletic Director Complete annual evaluations for all coaches within the football program Maintain supervision of the football program at all times, including locker rooms, practices, transportation, and events Enforce rules and regulations outlined in the Student‑Athlete Handbook Maintain team statistics and records throughout the season Communicate weekly results and program updates to the media Align and support youth, junior high, and high school football programs Coordinate and host the annual football awards banquet Represent North Newton High School in a professional manner at all times Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director Internal Candidates: Please also submit a letter of interest and resume to Sam Zachery, szachery@nn.k12.in.us North Newton School Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, religion, or any other legally protected status in its educational programs, services, or employment practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr North Newton School District
