Position Overview The Social Media Coordinator is an entry-level role responsible for helping grow the company's digital presence across social media platforms while maximizing the return on the company's social media investment. This role focuses on audience growth, engagement, trend identification, influencer collaboration, and platform expansion, particularly into emerging channels such as TikTok.
The ideal candidate is highly curious about social media trends, comfortable working across multiple platforms, and excited to explore how social media can drive awareness, engagement, and ultimately business growth within the professional dental community and direct to consumer markets.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with internal marketing, sales, and education personnel to understand potential impacts of social media
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing content across key platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence aligned with marketing campaigns and product initiatives.
- Ensure posts reflect company messaging, brand voice, and product positioning.
- Support initiatives designed to grow followers, increase engagement, and expand reach across all channels.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and discussions to help foster meaningful engagement
- Identify opportunities to participate in relevant conversations and trending topics.
- Assist with the company's entry and growth on TikTok, identifying content formats that perform well
- Monitor trending TikTok formats, sounds, hashtags, and viral content opportunities.
- Experiment with short-form video strategies to maximize reach and discoverability.
- Research and monitor relevant dental social communities including Facebook dental groups, Reddit dental forums, professional dental discussion communities, and other niche industry platforms
- Utilize AMD key opinion leaders to engage in peer to peer communication on social media and other forums
- Track trends in social media, dental culture, memes, and emerging content formats that can improve the company's engagement and visibility.
- Monitor competitor social media activity and identify successful strategies and countermeasures
- Report insights and recommendations to the marketing team.
- Assist in measuring social media performance including follower growth, engagement rates, content reach, and influencer campaign results
